Strategic Plan

The WTA has undergone a significant transformation across all areas of its operation in recent times in order to meet the future challenges we face in developing Touch in Wales. One of the main actions was the compilation of the WTA’s Strategic Plan which lays out the WTA’s goals and objectives to the 2011 World Cup, together with a plan on how these goals will be delivered.

The Plan has been developed with input received from the Directors, sport participants, previous committee members & other stakeholders. It gives the Executive Board and everyone involved in Touch in Wales a clear focus and direction and includes some challenging targets for our sport to reach in Wales over the next 2 years.

The Plan identifies four Key Strategic Priority areas to be addressed, namely:

Governance & Compliance

Sport Development

Technical Development

Financial

The WTA recognise that the development of the Strategic Plan is only the starting point. To ensure its relevance and achievability will need the allocation of the necessary human, physical and financial resources to each priority area in order for it to succeed. We heavily rely on the volunteer contributions of our membership and would urge everyone involved in Touch to support the WTA and the development of Touch in Wales in any way that you can to make sure it is a success.
